Dear friends,
First things first. IT’S A GIRL! We went to see a doctor and even though I did not see any “specifics” he sounded positive. We are very excited! Our little girl is growing and is already doing gymnastics stretching her little arms and legs. Maybe she will become a tennis player like her daddy?!
We also would like to bring you a report from one of the student summer projects our colleagues put together last month. I was concerned because the project was to take place in the same location where we faced a lot of opposition from the state authorities 6 months ago.
This time we were not taken to court, but unfortunately police showed up again before the project even started. You gonna love this. We put up a bunch of arrows from the bus stop to the camp so students would not get lost. SO, they came in to charge us with “unauthorized advertising”. Please tell me. Does this
look like an advertising to you?! Furthermore, because we taped those arrows on trees they also wanted to charge us with “destroying wildlife”. I guess your former “Hug-A-Tree” VP held a seminar in Moldova which I missed. The other signs nailed(!) to same trees which I noticed later remained unnoticed by police! They said that if we believed we were innocent we would have a chance to prove this in the court of law. Yea, right. We have been down this road before. Was not much of a chance. This time the accusations were so bogus, the project director simply refused to sign a police report. Some guts, ah? The policeman became very angry, but finally turned around and left. We prayed a lot and … he never came back! When God is for us who can be against us, right?
The project was truly great. Here are just some of the testimonies of the students whose lives were touched.
“I decided to dedicate my life to God” – Cristina.
“I began understanding God more and decided to talk to Him as much as possible” – Iulia
“I learned things I had no clue about. I realized that I needed to be completely open with God and tell Him everything I have on my heart” – Diana.
“It was the first project like that for me. It opened my eyes and made me think more about the kind of life I live” – Eugene.
“I heard a lot about God’s existence and realized that everything I learned in school about evolution was false. Now I plan to verify everything I learned here since I know physics and math” – Denis.
Olga and I are very privileged to be a part of this ministry.
Thank you again so very much for making it possible by your prayers and investments. We really appreciate you!
From Moldova with love,
Yuri, Olga and a baby girl on the way
PS November 28th is the due date.
