Dear friends,
Olga is writing this time? Often times in our letters we share with you about the events taking place in other teams, but this time we decided to raise the curtain and let you see the backstage.
People are usually interested in results and these results are what one can find on the surface. Let’s just face it. These results (and they better be good ones) are what gives us satisfaction. However, we all know that the best results can be achieved when they are preceded by good preparation work, by a lot of work done behind the scene - the kind of work no one can see.
We are very glad that the Lord has placed us in the operations team. We are also so thankful to you for making our ministry possible. Our team consists of just 4 people and yet we contribute to the ministry of 9 field teams (59 people).
Here are some of the encouraging notes we got from those we serve:
“In general, I really like the way our operations team works and those changes you are implementing help us save lots of time. May God bless you!” – Svetlana (campus team staff member in Balti).
“After graduating from university I understood that I wanted to become a missionary. At first I was under the leadership of various people and then I myself became a team leader. Evangelism and discipleship are still my #1 priority but I also began dealing with administrative responsibilities. I think our government that passes a lot of laws having to do with finances, employment issues and taxes would not just let us simply ignore all these laws. The Lord has given me different gifts and abilities. I think I might be able to do administrative work myself, but that would mean giving up on evangelism and discipleship. Besides, I know for sure I would not be able to do administrative work just like the state requires it. Plus, the Lord has already given other people administrative gifts and this is why 40 other (campus) staff members besides me can spend most of their time sharing the good news with the students. Yuri and Olga are a great help to us. Often times we do not notice how administrative work is being done in “New Life Moldova”, but one thing I know for sure - I have enough time for do the ministry I was called to do.” - Radu (campus team director in Chisinau).
We would like to thank you again for being a part of our ministry. We would not be able to help these and other people if it was not for your support!
From Moldova with love,
Yuri and Olga
