Our Journey in Moldova
1. In a big village we managed to organize a meeting with intellectuals
from the village and everyone who were invited came: the principal, teachers,
the bookkeeper government executive and the most important character of this
meeting was the orthodox priest.
Still in advance we have defined a theme and everyone could express themselves
and of course the priest had the longest speech he called the people to go in
church but then having referred to employment has left.
We were asked to speak as the organizers of this meeting and we asked them what
questions they prepared for us and people started to ask questions, then I told
tem 4 spiritual laws and showed them a cartoon film « you are special » people
felt really open when I have invited them to pray all have risen and prayed
aloud inviting Christ in their hearts it was really an exciting moment. 23
persons came to the meeting and nobody left not having prayed to God.
At the end of the meeting we agreed to have meeting in 2 weeks.
And 15 people came to the meeting and the priest was with them to but now at
this time he was in a bad mood and he was not as positive like the last time,
now he was shouting, threatening and after we told him that we will still do the
meetings with these people he shouted: “who is orthodox leave now together with
me” and we were surprised to see that no one stood up and no one left.
He returned and said that he will excommunicate them from church but still no
one moved and no one left. After he left we had the meeting and people were very
opened and were ready to listen. The following meeting will be show the family
version of "Jesus" film.
I am convinced, that the greatest lie of a Satan today it that people don’t want
to hear the Gospel. People do want to listen and not only listen but also
believe in Him and have eternal life.
2. Before the New Year we visited large families where they have more than 8
children. Me with my wife decided to tell the Gospel with each member from the
family using the brochure of 4 spiritual laws. We came to the biggest family
they’ve got 14 children of the oldest one was a girl and she was 21 year old and
she is like a mom for everyone else. And she was very opened to the Gospel and
also came to church on Christmas. We visited 7 families and 12 people from this
families came to church.
Now some of them pass Follow-up. We are glad, that the Lord can work even among
such people.
Djoltai
One of our students form NLTC course lives in this village. She has 2 students
and
they have already shown Jesus film 6 times. One night during the film a man
asked
them, why did people kill Jesus? These young people were happy to explain him
what
they believe.
Chirsovo.
Students from NLTC course showed film twice. Many young people after that go to
the
youth club instead of disco bar. Also one young guy has VCR version of Jesus
film and
uses it to show the film by means of tape recorder to his relatives and mates.
A man didn’t want to believe what he saw on the screen and later he came back to
ask
questions. Our students were glad to show him this film again and explained
everything
along the way. Now they are praying for him to stop drinking and turn to God.
Chadir-Lunga.
We showed film to an audience that consisted of orthodox oriented people and
seventh
day Adventists. Many of them were glad and thankful that this film was
translated in
Gagauzian.
Belts NLTC
With the help of God the NLTI training in the church of Belts city is started.
It’s nice to watch the students getting ready to share their testimony. It’s
nice to
hear and see their openness; they speak with great sincerity and frankness. They
have
a great desire to share the “4SL” pamphlet. Some of the students have used the
“4SP”
telling people in the city about God. They liked it and are going to use it
more.
We pray and believe that God will strengthen them.
Kirsovo Gagauzia
“The story of Jesus” a movie for the kids was shown in the Kirsova village in a
small
church. There were about 60 people of young and middle age. The teenagers that
came to
the watch the movie were noisy at the beginning. After the movie I talked to one
of
the boys. He was crying when I was telling him about Jesus’ sufferings for them.
Praise to the Lord for His work in their hearts. I gave them Bibles, because
they
didn’t have. I believe that God will work in their hearts, because I had talked
to
them before and shared the “4SL”. Praise to the Lord for His work in this
village.
Prayer seminar
Kiselia. Cahul.
The seminar was held on 16 of Nov in 2 languages: Romanian and Russian. We
didn’t face
any confrontations. God has strengthened us.
There were about 60 people from the local church and from the nearest villages.
Many
people have witnessed that this seminar helped them to fill Gods power in a new
way.
They have learned a lot about prayer and effectiveness of it.
After the seminar was over we spent some time with the pastor of this church.
This is
very strong and powerful church, great example for other churches in Moldova.
I am grateful to God for such an opportunity.

Romanian
22-23 nov. 2002
God has blessed us in a Great way. We didn’t face any confrontations. 27
students came
this time. Most of them are missionaries, who are serving the Lord in surrounded
areas, but there were few people that work in the Government Agencies. 2 women
joined
us for the training.
I am grateful to God, for His providing help. For the funds He finds to support
this
training. There is a great lack for ministers in the villages of Moldova.
We had a friend who came to visit from Romania. It was a blessing and great
encouragement to see him. Please pray for other churches and missions that are
willing
to work with us reaching the same goal.
Prayer seminar. Cahul
Romanian and Russian
15 nov. 2002
40 people were presented at this seminar. We heard many testimonies of the power
of
prayer. Many people were healed from sin.
I am thankful to God for our brother, pastor Nikita Ion. He has invited us to
his
church to conduct a prayer seminar in his church. We plan to continue with the
training for the next 9 months and we need you prayer support in it. Please pray
for
our team and for the students that will come to join us.
NLTC. Chimishlia
30 people attended the NLTC seminar that was conducted in Russian. We showed
“Jesus”
film in Romanian. 200 people came to watch it, but no one prayed the prayer. We
used
children version later and people liked it more than classical. People were
inspired
and told us they will go through 18- week training in January.
Gods Army Church.
Prayer Seminar.
Seminar was conducted in Romanian. Approximately 75 people came to join us in
prayer.
Gods Army is a very unique church. It was founded by the Romanian missionary.
More
than 100 people regularly attend the church. This was an initial step in our
collaboration with this church. We plan to have NLTC training done here.
In the seminar we presented the work that we do and our goals for Moldova. Many
of the
participants have expressed their desire to join the training tin 2003.
Prayer conference. Chimishlia. 30.11.02
We have spent a lot of time praying for this conference. Chimishlia region is
very
strategic point. There is a great potential for NLTC training. 7 churches have
come
together for this conference. We prayed for solid 4 hours. In the end pastor of
the
church thanked us for the vision we have and desire to unite churches in common
prayer
to God.
One woman told us she used the materials we gave to people for a seminar she has
had
in her local church. This was very encouraging to us.
Total of 50 people came to join us in prayer on that day.
4 Spiritual Laws seminar for doctors.
Tighina region.
14 dec.2002
On 14’Th December 2002 in a place called Antonovca Christian doctors met
together for
a seminar. 19 doctors from surrounded villages and Kishinev wanted to spend time
studying 4 Spiritual Laws.
The seminar began at 10 a.m and ended at 5 p.m. 3 missionaries of Campus Crusade
taught lectures on How to be filled with the Spirit and how to share the Gospel
using
4 Spiritual Law brochures.
Doctors were thrilled to use this new method in their ministry. They were
grateful for
it and asked us to do something like this again.
Prayer Conference. Orhei
On 15’Th of December in Orhei took place prayer seminar in Romanian. Three
months ago
we began to prayer for this seminar.
When we went to the church pastor was absent. But we were warmly greeted by a
missionary that is responsible for field work in the region.
We were allowed to lead Sunday program and tell people about our vision. 110
people
were presented at the church that morning. We gave each of them a manual. We
have been
praying together and in groups.
In the end we had great fellowship time. Many of them told us that they have
learned
more about prayer and God than ever before.
Rishcanovca 19-22.12
On 18’Th of December we started Jesus film campaign in one of the Kishinev
districts.
We were afraid that people wasn’t going to come because of the cold. It was
freezing
cold those days. The hall was big and it was hard to warm it up, even though we
used
few gas heaters.
We have spread 24000 invitations with the help of young people from the local
church.
I and my wife wanted to visit a family that we knew. They were glad to see us
and
promised they would come to the film.
One lady was putting the poster on the post when Police stop to see what she was
doing. Policemen were rude and angry; they were calling her bad names. She is 70
years
old. She turned around and looked straight into their eyes and they left.
In the first day 100 people came to watch the film. One lady told us after the
film
that she found a piece of invitation with the address on it. She signed up for
the
follow up meeting and got the book.
On the second day 300 people came even though it was biter cold. The young man
named
Maxim told us he, when he found an invitation in the post box and prayed the
prayer.
He asked what he should do next. We invited him to the Church.
About 200 people all together prayed the prayer of repentance during this
campaign.
Prayer Seminar “Golgotha”
50 members of “Golgotha” Church participated in the seminar that was conducted
by
Valeriu Padurets and Ion Eremeev. Everything went very well and people liked it
very
much. Few members of this church that have a ministry in other villages around
Chisinau asked us to come and do similar ones for them.
Later many people have witnessed that this seminar had taught them many new
things
about God
Many of them expressed their grateful hearts and thanked us for the effort.
Praise the Lord for such great opportunities.
Orhei
Two workers of the mission conducted an NLTC introduction in the Baptist Church.
Last
year we did a prayer seminar for the people of this church, having in mind idea
to
start a training center. God helped us and we have invited 40 people to this
introduction.
We shared with them how to experience Gods love and forgiveness, and how to be
filled
with the Spirit. Several brothers told us that these lectures were helpful and
applicable in their ministry.
In the end of the session we showed new version of Jesus film. 65 people came to
watch
it. Students liked this film very much and were willing to use it in their
ministry.
Rezina
19 of April
11 people going through the NLTC program. They are very excited. Over the last
week
they have shared 4 spiritual laws Brochure 50 times and 35 people prayed to
receive
Christ. 8 new believers went through the 1 Follow-up and 3 through 2 follow –up.
Last
Thursday few students showed the Film on VCR. 12 people watched it and 2 of them
prayed the prayer. There are 4 locations where our students come from.
They are very excited about everything they learning and experiencing.
Family Version Premiere
Purposes:
1) to present new version to pastors and leaders of churches throughout Moldova.
2) to simulate film showing the way it is done on the field.
3) to learn objective evaluation of the film from the audience by means of
questionnaire
We found a place and planned the event. Every member of Coverage Staff
participated in
Premiere preparation. We have had great due to the comments and advice of
Country
Director Ed Murray and Coverage director Virgil Anderson.
Considering the strategic importance of this event we had invited 50 couples
(pastors
and their wives), representatives of different churches of Moldova. We had
people from
Baptist Union, Pentecostal Union, Independent Union, even people from
Transnistrian
region.
After the film showing we had asked people to share their opinion with us by
answering
few questions. 80 people had given positive responses and expressed their desire
to
work with us.

Transnistria – the difficult area
If you take a look at the map of Moldova you can see a narrow stripe that
spreads from
North to South. It is Transnistrian Moldavian republic or simply among the
people-
Transnistria. About 700 thousand people inhabit this land, many of them of
different
nationalities. Couple dozens of churches are functioning there.
Regardless the fact that freedom of Faith is declared in Transnistria, indeed it
is
not so. Various state agencies are after Christians. It is almost impossible to
have
an outdoor meeting or rent a public house for an Evangelism campaign.
For instance in a town called Grigoriopol authorities decided to take the
property
that belongs to church and use it for their own needs. The Bishop sent a letter
to
European Committee for human rights where he explained all the problems he had
experienced. After that life became even more difficult for the believers.
“New Life” of Moldova had addressed to the churches if Transnistria with a
initiative
to start an evangelism campaign using “Jesus” film. We also plan to start NLTC
in few
towns throughout Transnistria!
We have started with a good beginning, organizing prayer seminars in those
churches.
We already have done it in 15 churches. And 4 of them wanted to host our NLTC
program.
We as Staff believe that we are fulfilling Gods commandment and are happy to be
in the
center of His will!
Badarajii Veche
In Romanian.

There are 770 people living in this village and 73 came to the film showing.
Most of
them were young ones. Everyone liked the film very much.
Korpachi
In Romanian.

We showed the film in the school. The Principle himself was helping us to cover
the
windows. Many had signed for the Bible study.
Hankautsi

More than 300 people came to this showing. We showed the film in the gym. It was
very
cold, 5 below 0. Nobody had left; most of them were standing the whole time.
During
the Crucifixion scene people were crying. In the end principle was very grateful
to us
for this film. We told him that soon we are going to come back with the
children’s
version. He was very excited and asked if we could bring some materials and
leave it
in the school library. It has been very encouraging experience for all of us who
had
an opportunity to serve God in this project.
Vishoara

The showing went well. People were excited. We were asked to come back again
with the
new version.
Edintsi. Feteshti

Many people in this village are Jehovah’s Witnesses. We worried about the film
showing. When we went to the appointment with a mayor, first question he asked
us was:
”Are you Jehovah’s witnesses”. When we told him who we are and what intend to
do, he
was very glad. We were allowed to show the film in the big building that used to
be a
store. It was 10 below zero outside, but still 100 people came and many seniors
among
them.
Tirnovo

We showed the film in the local school. The principle and teachers had very
positive
response. All of them came to watch it. There was no room for all of those who
wanted
to see it. Many of them had to be in the hall way and simply listened for it was
impossible to see. The principle had signed for the Bible study.
Badrajii Noi.

City authorities were very positive with us and allowed us to use the village
club for
the showing. More than 120 people came. Elders of the village were discussing
the
film, sharing their impressions. Even the orthodox deacons came. 40 people
repeated
the prayer we gave them brochure of Gospel Luke.
Tiraspol,
Prayer conference.
This prayer conference turned out to be a great blessing for all of us as well
as for
all the people who had come to this meeting. Many have testified that they had
never
prayed like this before. We had prayed for our relatives according to 2 Peter
3:9. God
had answered right away. 10 new people had come to church on Sunday. 6 people
had
prayed to receive Christ as their Savior. 2 of them were the sons of a mother
who had
been praying for their Salvation 2 days before.
God is still able to draw people close to Him. It is very encouraging to us. We
believe that our labor is not in vain in the eyes of God.

Film was showed in Romanian. Attendance: 100 people. 10 people prayed the prayer
of
repentance
Hinceshti.
It was very cold and we showed the film in the house of one believer. 40 people
came.
Staraia Bogdanovca. 5.01.03
We showed the inside the church building. It was very cold outside, but still
more 10
unbelievers came to watch it. One woman has begun attending church.
Cimishlia. 6.01.03
The film was showed in Romanian.100 people came to watch the film. 20 of them
prayed
to receive Christ.
Novaia Bogdanovca 7.01.03
Showed in Russian. On this day Orthodox Christians celebrate Christmas. It was
very
cold regardless of heaters we had used to warm up the place. There was no single
place
left in the building. People were standing in aisles. We decided to show new
Children’s version of Jesus Film. 20 people prayed to receive Christ. 2 women
have
gone through 2 Follow-up meetings and have begun attending the church.
Cimislia NLTC
It was a great time for all of us. 20 students were exited to continue with the
training after 2 week break. Two weeks ago we gave an assignment to the student.
Part
of it was to share the 4 Spiritual Laws brochure with 3 people. Some of them
shared it
with 10. 15 people have prayed the prayer, 5 of them began to attend the church.
One
of them came to NLTC and said that he wanted to start it as soon as possible.
Singerei
We have started all preparations for this project right in the beginning of this
year.
We have chosen that village because of a missionary, who asked us to help him to
begin
the work. He helped us by setting up the place for the showing. Also the young
people
of the Church from the village Radoi have invested great effort into this
project.
They have been taking out invitations and have prepared the program for the film
show
itself.
200 people came to watch the film on Sunday, 12. Right in the begging a drunken
man
came in and began causing troubles. Few believers talked to him and he calmed
down.
People had very positive reaction; many of them have expressed their
satisfaction.
Unfortunately no one has raised his hand on the question:” Have you prayed the
prayer?”
But we believe that what has been sowed will bring its fruit in the perfect time
Stefan-Voda, Cioburciu.
21.12.02
This is the last NLTC seminar that was conducted in Cioburciu. All the students
have
had an exam. We are grateful to God for the students that took this training so
serious. We wanted to do something special for them in this day and allowed them
to
bring their wives and children to the meeting. We also invited pastors of
churches
where our students. 11 pastor and leaders joined us. One of our instructors told
them
about the idea of NLTC and its vision. 1 student shared his testimony and 2 more
explained the group 4 Spiritual Concept.
We ended this day with prayer of thanks for what God has done for us.
Putinesti. Singerei.
We have planned to show the film in this village on 24’Th of November 2002. But
Mayor
said that we should move the day, because on Sunday 24, they would have The Day
of
Town. People would be drank and our efforts wouldn’t have any results. It seemed
a
good plan to show the film after on the following week.
God has blessed us on that day. The only problem was that in the Cultural
Palace,
there were no chairs, and we had to bring them from another village. There is a
church
and people were willing to help us with a tractor to bring the chairs for the
showing.
We had very good time after the show, talking to young people who actually came
to the
Disco Party, and watched a movie instead. 2 young people gave their lives to
God.
We pray for a missionary, who would start a church in this place, because there
is no
a single believer.
We are grateful to God for these opportunities to use Jesus film as the staring
point
for the churches in new places.
Sfinta Treime
It is so great that people want to know Jesus. They find that He gives peace and
comfort. Many of those who had come to watch the film have witnessed that they
always
wanted to know about God. This film has given a fresh breath to the church
itself.
People who have gone through the preparation shared their testimonies during the
film.
There were people who have expressed their desire to go through the course that
we
offer to Christians who want to serve God.
On 8th of December we invited the group from Bucharest to praise the Lord
together
with us. 47 people came that day.
